Access electronic resources at home with your libary card number and PIN.  Resources with "(in library use only)" after the name can only be accessed from a library computer.   If you have a problem connecting, please contact the library with a description of the problem.


Alldata Auto Repair Database (in library use only)
An excellent resource for the home mechanic who wants step by step instructions on auto repairs. 


Ancestry Library (in library use only)
Geneological information, including  census data, vital records, directories, and photos.

Antiques Reference
The P4 Antiques database provides descriptive information along with recently paid prices for antiques, collectibles, art and Americana sold at art auctions across the country. There also is a color photograph for each item listed.

EBSCO Mobile

Use the EBSCO Mobile app to access the Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia and Primary Search.  Primary Search provides full text for more than 70 popular, magazines for elementary school research. Freegal Music

Download up to 3 songs per week from the SONY catalog with your library card and PIN just click on the Freegal icon. This service is available to anyone with a library card from Baldwinsville or who lives in the Baldwinsville School District. Do not fit those criteria? Gale Academic OneFile 

Over 12,000 journals and reference sources, many of which are peer-reviewed and full text. It has extensive coverage of the physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, literature and more.

 

Gale General OneFile 

Over 12,000 periodicals, newspapers, reference books and multimedia sources, over half of which are full text. The backfile extends nearly 30 years. Subjects include humanities, education, environmental issues, technology, health care, politics and more.

 

Gannet Newsstand 

Contains over 85 Gannett newspapers, 6 of which are New York newspapers. These include the Ithaca Journal, Poughkeepsie Journal, Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, Journal News (White Plains), Press and Sun-Bulletin (Binghamton) and Star-Gazette (Elmira). 


Grayhouse Directory of Resources for People with Disabilities

Hobbies and Crafts Reference Center

It offers detailed "how-to" instructions and creative ideas to meet the interests of virtually every hobby enthusiast.  Full text is provided from leading hobby and craft magazines, including Bead & Button, Birder's World, Creative Knitting, FineScale Modeler, Quilter's World, and many more.


Gale Infotrac Newsstand 

InfoTrac Newsstand is a newspaper database which allows users to search articles by title, headline, date, newspaper section or other assigned fields.

Multi-source database provides access to the full text of nursing and allied health journals


Kids Infobits 

contains over 100 age-appropriate magazines for grades K-5.

 

Kids Search

Is designed for students in grades K through 5. It provides an easy-to-use, graphically-appealing way for kids to search resources.  Kids Search includes: non-fiction books, animals, history, magazines and pictures.

A collection of more than 1000 practice tests and skills tutorials for academic career advancement and more than 200 eBooks

 

Literary Reference Center

It is a full-text database that combines information from major respected reference works, books and literary journals, as well as original content from EBSCO Publishing. 

 

MasterFILE Premier (EBSCO Host Web)

Designed specifically for public libraries, this multidisciplinary database provides full text for nearly 1,700 periodicals with full-text information dating as far back as 1975. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest, MasterFILE Premier also contains full text for nearly 500 reference books and over 164,400 primary source documents, as well as an Image Collection of over 592,000 photos, maps & flags. This database is updated daily via EBSCOhost.


New York State Newspapers 

A subset of InfoTrac Newsstand, this database includes articles from newspapers from around New York State including: Glens Falls Post-StarNew York TimesNew York ObserverNew York Post, and Newsday.


Opposing Viewpoints 

Contains a range of perspectives on many important issues, with over 13,000 pro/con viewpoints. Includes a variety of resource types: reference, news, primary sources, multimedia and more.


ReferenceUSA
Business and residential phone numbers, addresses, and other directory information, including reverse phone number lookups. The business directory offers advanced mode searching by yellow page heading, business SIC code, zip code, SMSA and more.

 

Searchasaurus

For kids up to grade 5 it includes magazine articles, newspaper articles, dictionary/encyclopedia entries, pictures and more on a variety of topics ranging from animals to history to stories. Lexile (reading) levels of the information found go up to Grade 5.

 

Syracuse Newspapers

A searchable archive of digital images of the Syracuse newspapers from 1857 forward. Coverage also includes more than 750 US cities and over 2000 US and international newspaper titles.
