Celebrate Friends
of Libraries Week

Friends of Libraries Week, October 18 – October 23, is a wonderful time to celebrate the people who help make our library stronger, more welcoming, and more connected to our community. The Friends of Baldwinsville Public Library support the library by volunteering their time and through fundraising efforts, helping us expand what we can offer and improve the library in countless ways. From supporting programs and special projects to providing funds for items that enhance the library experience, their contributions make a real difference and their support means everything.

Want to help? The Friends are looking for new members! Whether you have a little time to volunteer, would like to help with fundraising, or simply want to support the library as a member, there is a place for you. Learn more about membership.

What Are the Friends Up To?

The Friends have several fun initiatives coming up:

Halloween Raffle Basket — now through October 28
Kids will love this basket packed with activities, toys, candy, and treats! Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10, with all proceeds benefiting the Friends.

3rd Annual Mah-Jongg Tournament — October 25, 9 am–5 pm
Mah-Jongg players can put their skills to the test while supporting the Friends at this annual tournament. Open to adults and teens. It is a full day of games, fun, and fundraising for the library.

Friends Member Table — November 6
Look for the Friends during the library’s November Book Sale on November 6. At the previous book sale, the Friends created secret book and puzzle packages that piqued the curiosity of passers-by and added an element of surprise to the sale. Stop by to see what they come up with next!
